Об этом сообщило Европейское ведомство по безопасности пищевых продуктов (EFSA).

Изучив 11 приправ, которые используются при копчении продуктов питания в странах Европейского союза, сотрудники EFSA установили, что несколько приправ близки к критическому уровню содержания вредных веществ и могут нанести вред здоровью людей, употребляющих копченые продукты.

Вскоре Европейское ведомство по безопасности пищевых продуктов пересмотрит список ароматических приправ для получения копченого вкуса и будет составлен перечень безопасных для использования в пищу добавок, сообщают Подробности.

По утверждению специалистов, альтернативный способ получения копченых продуктов, при помощи добавок имитирующих копченый вкус, намного безопаснее для здоровья человека, чем традиционное копчение.

Тем не менее, чтобы копченые продукты питания не несли риск для здоровья потребителей, необходимо лучше изучить все ароматические компоненты, уверяют специалисты.
